My Story

I'm taking part in Africa's biggest road race, The Great Ethiopian Run on November 23rd, 2025 to raise funds for GOAL USA. 

Iʻm paying my own way to get there, but in order to participate, I need your help. Funds raised will help to deliver lifesaving aid to families facing hunger, disease and conflict in countries where GOAL operates.

Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Great Ethiopian Run and witness first hand the vital work of GOAL. I travelled across Ethiopia, from war-torn region of Tigray in the north, to Dira Dawa near Djibouti/Somalia and Gambella near South Sudan, where thousands of refugees arrive daily. I saw the devasting impact of war and drought, but what stood out the most was the incredible difference GOAL is making. From providing life-saving food like PlumpʻNut to babies and children in the camps, to supporting sustainable inititives that help communities achive self-suffiency, GOAL is changing lives. 

Now, with USAIDʻs shutdown and massive aid cutoff, the work GOAL does is more urgent than ever. Their humanitarian efforts are critical across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Ukraine. Iʻm compelled to return and raise funds with even more urgency this time.

Iʻm heading back to Ethiopia for the Great Ethiopian Run and I need your help!  Anything you can donate will directly support GOALʻs life-saving programs and sustainable intitives. Every dollar you contribute will make a meaningful impact.
